Portal IGN has published a video preview of the remake’s new gameplay System Shock, which was announced in 2015. In the video, the main character explores the spaceship, solving puzzles and shooting creepy creatures.

According to the video’s author, the remake is similar to modern survival horror. He loved the eerie atmosphere created by the dark, narrow locations, the low light, and the corpses scattered around the ship. By cons, he attributed inventory congestion to unnecessary items.

The remake was made on the Unreal Engine 4 for about 8 years. In addition to completely new graphics, the updated version will receive improved AI and reworked mechanics. According to the game’s Steam page, it will be released on PC (Steam, GOG, and EGS), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in March 2023.
