In today’s digital marketplace, online shopping has reshaped how people buy clothing. Zara, a major name in fashion, created its mobile app to enhance the customer experience. Beyond simply purchasing items, the app lets users search for outfits and see where to buy them, arrange pickup at a nearby store within 120 minutes, and there is a little-known feature: book a changing room.
Yes, booking a locker room is possible, which helps cut down on long queues and repetitive trips to try on outfits.

To get started, download and install the Zara app on a mobile device. The app is available through the App Store for iOS users and Google Play for Android users. Once installed, open the app and create an account or sign in with existing credentials.
After logging in, the main screen appears. On the top right, the label “shop mode” is visible. Tap there to see the nearest store based on location. The app clearly shows the store’s address. If desired, tapping the dropdown menu on the right reveals more details about the store, allows exiting shop mode, or changing the default store if a different location is planned.
When a store is selected, three options become available:
-
Your purchase can be ready in 120 minutes. Orders can be placed from that store and delivered within that time window.
- <pFind products inside the store: search for a specific garment available there.
- <pBook a locker room
If the locker room option is chosen, the screen shifts to show test devices available in the store, including the specific floor and section, the estimated wait time, and current availability.
Select the desired tester and tap ‘Book Tester’. If staff requests a QR code, the app will display it. If the locker room is marked as ‘Available now’, a short countdown begins for your reservation. If there is a waiting period, the app will notify when it is possible to start using it.
