Digital terrestrial television, known as TDT, is moving toward full high-definition integration in Spain, delivering images with more detail and richer sound. HD quality means sharper pictures and expanded sound staging that enhances the viewing experience across compatible devices.
As a result, standard definition broadcasts are phasing out. By the deadline, all televisions, decoders, and DTT receivers must be ready to display high-definition content. If a device cannot handle HD, viewers will need a solution to continue watching channels. Broadcasters are required to upgrade their transmissions to high-definition, even in regions with limited coverage, to ensure audiences can access the content in better quality.
