TVE is casting for a new prime-time variety show on La 1, with a directive to dance as much as possible. The program will feature Anne Igartiburu and a panel of sixteen dance professionals who will take on a major challenge: training eight celebrities in diverse styles such as hip-hop, house, and jazz.
Each celebrity will pair with a dance professional, forming a duo that showcases both the dancer and the amateur’s growth. The goal is to prove who is the most complete dancer and choreographer among the pairs.
Every week a jury will assess the performances. The evaluations will determine whether a professional dancer stays in the competition or exits the show, while the teachers will have the chance to shine in a new capacity as they guide the celebrities.
Early information suggests that filming for TVE’s new dance talent show will begin in the coming weeks, with production aimed for the first half of February. As a result, several well-known personalities are already anticipated to participate. Below is the full list of participants:
Lydia Lozano
Lozano is a journalist at heart, a television icon since the 1990s, and a beloved contributor on Spanish screens. She recently appeared at a pink-themed event in October and has repeatedly hinted at returning to a major talent show to display her dancing abilities. Lozano joined a dance-focused program in 2013 and is set to showcase her moves once again, drawing on a playful persona she has previously shown on television.
Sabrina Salerno
Salerno, an Italian icon known for her work as a singer, model, and actress, rose to prominence across Europe in the 1980s.
