Russian President’s Press Secretary Dmitriy Peskov indicated that a telegram was prepared on behalf of Vladimir Putin to the family of the late fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin and that it would be sent soon.
He stated, “Today we learned of the passing of Yudashkin. The President extends his condolences. Yudashkin played a significant role in the advancement of Russian art and culture, contributing to the education of younger generations and helping to promote our culture abroad in ways that are hard to overstate.”
Valentin Yudashkin died on Tuesday, May 2, at the age of 59. Media reports cited an oncological illness diagnosed several years ago as the cause of death.
Meanwhile, the fashion world recently lost Vyacheslav Zaitsev, who turned 86 last week. According to Peskov, Putin conveyed condolences to Zaitsev’s family and friends upon his passing.
