The Three Wise Men bring a distinctive gift to followers of Pasapalabra this year as Antena 3 showcases a prime time event in the Night of Champions. The premiere sets up a high-stakes tournament on Saturday, January 6, at 22:00, featuring a lineup built around some of the show’s longest and most memorable duels in Pasapalabra history.

For this special prime time edition, four familiar faces return to the competition to go head to head: Orestes Barbero, Pablo Díaz, Luis de Lama, and Javier Dávila. Across three premiere episodes, each contestant competes for a prize of 3,000 euros per program. The grand prize goes to the overall winner of the tournament, with a potential 25,000 euros, and if the final Rosco is completed, a pot that can reach 100,000 euros.

Orestes Barbero stands out for his long-running presence on Pasapalabra, having appeared in 360 episodes. He achieved 130 wins, accumulating a total of 215,400 euros in earnings. Pablo Díaz has appeared in 260 programs, earning 146 victories and a cumulative jackpot of 1,828,000 euros. Luis de Lama spent 84 programs on the show, securing 38 wins and earning 39,600 euros. Javier Davila recorded 76 programs with 42 wins, gathering 26,400 euros in prize money.

To mark this extraordinary Pasapalabra night, the premiere also features extra challenges where seconds can be accumulated. In the segment Nine is Enough, the team must recall a sequence of words that share a common theme. A new word is introduced each round by Roberto, and contestants must reproduce the full list of words spoken, including the latest one introduced by him.

Pasapalabra screens every afternoon on Antena 3

Pasapalabra continues to deliver strong viewership. The Antena 3 daytime program reached a 21.2% audience share in 2023, averaging about 2 million viewers and ranking as the second most-watched program on all television that year, just behind El Hormiguero.

Roberto Leal hosts the show as the unquestioned daytime leader, having achieved the widest historical gap versus rivals last year, with a lead of more than 12 points. The program consistently attracts more than 4 million unique viewers each afternoon, underscoring its enduring appeal across the Canadian and American audiences who follow international game show formats and UK/Spain-origin formats adapted for global audiences.
