Lazurit, a furniture maker, has teamed up with Vizit, a birth control products producer, to roll out a new joint product. The news came to light through the companies’ press service and was shared with socialbites.ca.
The collaboration introduces a mattress built around a novel CondomFlex system, featuring a spring constructed from compressed condoms. The inventive approach is aimed at boosting the orthopedic performance of the mattress and enhancing sleep quality.
The collection offers three firmness levels to suit different sleepers: Light, Pro, and Pro Max. The manufacturers claim these options help users fall asleep 20 to 40 percent faster, depending on individual factors such as waking patterns and stress levels.
“Latex mattresses have long been popular for addressing back discomfort, and we took a chance on this technology to maintain all the advantages of latex while lifting overall performance. Compressed condoms proved to be effective springs, and this mattress design earned top marks in testing. The product was originally conceived for people with busy lives. It is built for humans who crave restorative sleep but can’t always find enough hours,” stated Nadezhda Melnikova, Lazurit’s Innovation Director.
According to the company, initial production capacity is projected at 20,000 beds per month for the first quarter, with sales slated to begin in the second quarter of 2024.
In related industry notes, a former real estate agent pondered the price of comfort in rental living spaces, highlighting the ongoing value people place on a good night’s rest and how sleep quality can influence daily life.
