Bea Archidona has emerged as a central figure at the revamped Telecinco. The journalist stepped into Ana Rosa Quintana’s old slot during the afternoon program block this Christmas season, and in an interview, she was hailed as the queen of morning television. Her outlook is upbeat, and she is confident she will connect with viewers in the afternoons as the audience grows for her new show.
In comments to UnofficialArchidona, Ana Rosa appears very calm. With information gathered by the magazine, a hopeful attitude toward success surfaced, a stance shared by the entire team. And now Sonsoles is in the trailing pack within the race for audience. Both formats have been competing since September, underscoring the crowded landscape of daytime television.
“We’re building a strong program with content that resonates with people, and we are genuinely pleased with the reception. It’s gradually winning over public opinion, and the numbers reflect that. We anticipated this outcome from the start,” Archidona notes. She also reflects on the year’s trajectory. Friday’s show, with its candid format since November, has performed exceptionally well, especially given the stiff competition. It remains a focal point of discussion alongside Sound, its closest rival to date.
“I think viewers wanted a return to the heart of everyday life. We’re very satisfied with the audience and will keep raising the bar,” she says. Looking back at the professional year, Archidona describes it as wonderful: “I couldn’t be more grateful to Mediaset for the trust placed in me. It also allowed a shift in content because my previous work leaned more toward politics.”
