Balenciaga, the renowned French fashion house, in collaboration with its owner group Kering, has formally announced a new partnership with the National Alliance for Children (NDA). The announcement was shared across the brand’s social channels, signaling a commitment that spans three years and reflects Balenciaga and Kering’s ongoing investment in child welfare initiatives.
According to the partnership statement, Balenciaga and the Kering Foundation will support the NDA in a program designed to reach two key objectives. First, training for roughly 2,000 professionals who specialize in addressing child abuse. Second, the delivery of tailored psychological support to about 55,000 children who have experienced violence or trauma, all within the three-year framework. The collaboration aims to strengthen frontline response capabilities and widen access to essential mental health resources for vulnerable children.
The joint initiative also emphasizes enhanced access to medical care for child survivors of violence through the alliance, along with educational efforts aimed at adults. These efforts focus on practical steps that families, caregivers, and communities can take to protect children from predatory harm and to recognize warning signs early. In addition, the partnership seeks to raise public awareness about child safety and the broader issue of safeguarding young people from abuse, a goal pursued through coordinated outreach, training, and community engagement.
The move comes in the context of ongoing scrutiny of Balenciaga’s advertising campaigns, which previously faced criticism related to imagery and branding decisions involving children and other sensitive themes. In response, Balenciaga and its associated entities have taken steps to address concerns, and the NDA collaboration represents a strategic effort to contribute constructively to child protection and support networks. The alliance is designed to complement existing programs and amplify the reach of trained professionals, medical services, and educational resources across communities that need them most.
