Alba Carrillo is pursuing legal action against Mediaset España, aiming to challenge La Fábrica de la Tele and Unicorn Content in court. The case centers on allegations of unfair dismissal and suspected legal improprieties tied to the termination of her contract. The dispute follows the abrupt end of her collaboration after Ana Rosa Quintana’s contract with her producing team expired at the end of March.
Carrillo has long been a familiar figure across several programs under the Fuencarral media group. She disappeared from Ya es mediodía in early April amid the news that her contract with Unicorn Content had expired and was not renewed. After months of occasional appearances outside Mediaset and reports that her mother had prevailed in a separate legal matter against Zeppelin, it appears Carrillo will face further proceedings, with a court date set for December.
The complaint extends to other key entities within the audiovisual group, including Megamedia Televisión SL, Publiespaña SAU, and Conecta 5 Telecinco SAU. These entities oversee various functions such as advertising operations, official online platforms, and the Mitele streaming service.
In a statement given to Esdiario, Carrillo expressed confidence in the justice system, noting that while justice can be slow, she has faith that it will be fair in her case. The broadcaster confirmed that its initial reconciliation attempt did not succeed and involved only Unicorn Content and La Fábrica de la Tele as part of the early steps in resolving the dispute.
