Following yesterday’s announcement of the Arc A770 Limted Edition graphics card, Intel announced the launch of its proprietary XeSS (Xe Super Sampling) scaling technology. The first game with her will be Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

The technology is similar to NVIDIA DLSS and allows you to reduce the load on the graphics card, making it possible to increase the frame rate at the same resolution. XeSS is also based on machine learning algorithms, but it is not specifically linked to Intel cards, although the efficiency will be higher on Arc accelerators.

Experts have already compared Intel XeSS and NVIDIA DLSS scaling technologies in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
