Erin Moriarty, best known for her role as Starlight in The Boys, recently complained about trolling and bullying on the internet. This was due to changes in the appearance of the actress, which, according to fans, were due to plastic surgery.
I feel like I’m being silenced. I feel dehumanized. I feel paralyzed. I’ve put blood, sweat, and tears into this role (over and over). I grew up with this character (emphasis on growing up, when we develop mentally and physically). It really breaks my heart – I literally opened my veins for this role, and this kind of trolling is exactly what my character is against. Everyone is going through their own struggle. Let’s not touch mine. I will never intentionally (and above all) negatively influence yours. It has only strengthened my empathy for everyone I meet: I see you, I don’t hate you, I just empathize and forgive.
The actress has already been supported by her co-star in The Boys Anthony Starr, who played the role of Homelander. “I support you and what you say now 100%. Well said. Your work on the show has always been fantastic and is still amazing and you are beautiful inside and out. keep shining”said the actor.
In turn, many fans are now posting comparison photos of Erin Moriarty before (pictured left) and after the changes (pictured right). According to some people involved in trolling, the appearance of the actress has deteriorated.
