“The vest is a real classic. It makes the image cheerful, very young and fun. That’s why this item should be in every wardrobe. It goes well with jackets, jeans and classic trousers. It can definitely be used for different moods and different situations. That’s why you should have several of them in your wardrobe: both short-sleeved and with narrower sleeves to be worn under a jacket. And a wide vest that you can wear with jeans or classic trousers,” Lisovets said.
August 19 is the birthday of the Russian vest. There is an opinion that on this day in 1874, Emperor Alexander II signed a decree according to which the vest became part of the uniform of Russian sailors. Over time, the convenience and beauty of this vest was appreciated by fashion designers, and it became popular among the people as a wardrobe item.
It was previously known that the Russians preferred the place to buy vests.
