‘Hitman’ is a concept: there are plenty of video games and movies about hitmen. Richard Linklater’s ‘Hit Man’ has many different, realistic, comedic touches and, although the plot allows for some impossible license, it is ultimately very realistic. Written and produced by the director of ‘Boyhood’ with the influential Glen Powell, who plays the protagonist, the film is a bold and successful transition between ‘thriller’, romantic comedy, black comedy and reflection of real life. an identity all brought together with the filmmaker’s customary irony.

Our hero is initially a boring Psychology and Philosophy professor; If students are dozing off in their lessons, then things will be very different. In his spare time, he works undercover for the New Orleans police. Allen, who has a historical musical name, lives on Toussaint Boulevard. Street signs are important: we see the intersection of Piedad and Placer streets at a crucial moment in history. He gives lectures on the construction of the self and advocates not having absolute concepts at the moral level. It’s all about his double life as a fake undercover hitman who helps detain those who hired him for criminal purposes. A great mirror game that absolutely laughs at all conventions.
