Football player David Beckham spoke publicly about his marriage to designer Victoria. He talked about the relationship in a podcast SmartLess.
“After watching the movie, we looked at each other and thought, ‘I don’t know how we survived the last 27 years, but we did and we have a great family,’” the football player said.
He also added that he was lucky to meet Victoria because he wanted to have children at a young age.
“I always wanted to have kids who would run my career with me and I was lucky that all three kids had the chance to get into most of the teams I played for and it became a really important part of my life,” he said.
Victoria met her future husband David Beckham in 1997. They met at a football match to which the girl was invited by her friend and Spice Girls bandmate Mel C. The lovers announced their engagement less than a year after they met. On July 4, 1999, David and Victoria married. The celebrities have sons Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo, and daughter Harper.
