The Fashion Week “Autumn-Winter 2024”, which the industry has been waiting with interest this season, was held in Milan, Italy. This is because the fashion houses taking part in the event are experiencing an influx of fresh blood: Maximilian Davis, who was appointed creative director of Ferragamo in 2022, Mathieu Blasi, who became the head of Bottega Veneta at the end of 2021, Bally, which took over breathing in 2023, Sabato de Sarno, who took over as Gucci’s creative director, gave a new life to his collections. Fashion designer Adrian Appiolaza from the fashion house Moschino made his debut at the Week – he took this position just the other day. Tom Ford was represented by designer Peter Hawkings, who took over as creative director of the brand in April 2023.

And although the comparison of some collections is not entirely in favor of the new creative directors (for example, Moschino and especially Gucci now look dull and more conservative than before), this can definitely be said about the clothes shown. In Milan: first of all, it is very beautiful. And of course highlight a number of trends.

moss color

Soft, natural colors prevail in Milan. Shades of green – forest, moss, reindeer moss with a grayish tint, pine needles and trampled grass – especially stood out. The natural color palette is enriched with shades of stone, earth, clay, warm mustard and wood, blueberry and a hint of ripe strawberry – you can find them at Fendi, Gucci, Bally, Ferragamo, Bottega Veneta, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini And many others. Only Giorgio Armani went against this trend, creating collections in blue and gray tones for his brands. But she didn’t shy away from splashes of emerald green.

over the knee boots

The shoes that will be indispensable for both genders this autumn are over-the-knee boots. For men, they will look more like fishing boots, but for women, they come in a wide variety of colors and styles. Wine-coloured patent leather boots from Gucci, slim-fit MM6 Maison Margiela in black or gold; Bally, Ferragamo, Versace and Fendi also presented their own models. In general, over-the-knee boots will be a must.

white and fluffy

The autumn-winter palette consists of moss and pine needles somewhere, and snow somewhere else. From this perspective, fluffy white faux fur coats, soft white sweaters or voluminous furry coats can also be inspired by nature. But even if it is not so, Bottega Veneta, Jil Sander, Marni, Tom Ford and Genny recommend that you do not hesitate and wear a white fur coat next autumn, maybe short, maybe long. And Missoni showed up with a white fluffy dress, so a fur coat isn’t the only option for fans of the trend.

Ultra short skirts and shorts

It would be good if you wear something ultra-short with a fur coat and boots – a skirt, dress or shorts that look more like panties. According to Missoni, Ferragamo, Versace, Gucci, Tom Ford and others, the look of the girl who forgot to wear a skirt will still be relevant. It is recommended to wear tights to prevent freezing.

Smell and cover

According to Italian Houses designers, not only colors and textures but also styles will be soft in the autumn-winter season. Yes, in Milan they showed a lot of harsh black leather (the House of Versace stood out especially) – but still a variety of options for cozy draperies, volumes flowing under the influence of gravity, capes, capes, wrap dresses and coats dominated. In short, they offer to wrap themselves in the autumn cold, wrap themselves up and at the same time show off their long legs. You can turn to Etro, Bottega Veneta, Ferragamo, Genny and Fendi for inspiration.
