Popular Russian stand-up comedian Alexander Dolgopolov complained about high prices and taxes in Germany after moving. He talked about this issue in a conversation YouTube together with comedians Mikhail Shats (well-known as an agent of foreign media in the Russian Federation) and Garik Oganisyan.
After moving from Russia, the comedian began renting housing in Berlin. He stated that there is a housing crisis in Europe, so finding real estate in Germany is problematic.
“The flat I live in is my most expensive house in my life. This is a small one-room apartment, a very small apartment. You definitely need to pay insurance here; this is on average 200-300 euros a month,” said Dolgopolov.
Besides rent, he spends most of his salary on taxes and insurance. Alexander Dolgopolov announced that they could be deported for lack of insurance.
“Up to 40 percent of the taxes have to be paid. Besides the income tax, there are all kinds of crazy taxes. Even if you don’t listen to the radio, you have to pay the radio tax, and if you are a believer, you have to pay the religion tax,” he said.
