Adidas Chief Marketing Officer John Wexler opened up about rapper Kanye West’s quirky antics during his collaboration with the company. His words are quotes New York Times.
West brought a portrait of Adolf Hitler to work in 2018, Wexler said. According to the Adidas manager, the musician encouraged him to kiss Hitler’s picture every day.
Wexler, who is of Jewish descent, shared that the rapper suggested he kiss the portrait to learn about his unconditional love for his neighbor. In response, the company manager shouted at West. Former employees who worked with West noted that the musician exhibited strange behavior from the first days of collaboration.
Kanye West received the title of “Anti-Semite of the Year” in 2022, according to the organization StopAntisemitism. The rapper wrote anti-Semitic posts on Twitter that were considered a direct threat to the Jewish community.
