‘Oppenheimer’ star apologizes for remarks about ‘huge waiter’

Later, during the broadcast of the program “Friday Night with Jonathan Ross”, the “Oppenheimer” star called out to the waiter who served him in one of the huge restaurants in the USA.

“If you go to Chili’s (name of the restaurant. – Approx.), you’ll understand why our American friends are so great. The girl waiting at our table was absolutely gorgeous,” Blunt said.

The actor admitted that he now remembers that interview with horror. Blunt noted that he made “insensitive and hurtful” comments about fat people.

“I have always considered myself a person who would never think of offending someone. Whatever made me say this, it has nothing to do with my values. But it still happened and I’m so sorry I caused people pain,” Blunt added.

Emily Blunt is known for her roles in the films Oppenheimer, Edge of Tomorrow and The Devil Wears Prada.
