Actor Ivan Kolesnikov talked about the future of Russian cinema in an interview with socialbites.ca. According to him, the sector will survive despite the sanctions. The artist also expressed his confidence that the domestic film industry should not focus on producing entertaining films and TV series.
“I think if we do everything right, we can develop our cinema without Netflix and everything else. It’s not just about focusing on entertainment content. Of course, as they say, “the audience eats everything,” but this is a wrong position,” Kolesnikov said. “Sooner or later all this will end and everything will return to normal.” Nothing bad will happen to the cinema. The machine has already worked so hard that any It’s hard to break things.”
