Former King of Spain Juan Carlos won a $154 million lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend. This was reported by Reuters.

The case was filed against the 85-year-old former ruler on the grounds that he had organized threats, surveillance and intimidation against his mistress Corinna zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sain since 2012. The former monarch asked the court to dismiss the Sayn-Wittgenstein case, arguing that there was no evidence to accuse him of harassment.

On Friday, October 6, Judge Rowena Collins Rice ruled in Sayn-Wittgenstein’s favor, saying his case lacked a reasonable basis for the charges.

“Insufficient evidence has been provided to understand what evidence could be adduced at trial to provide a realistic expectation of success for the plaintiff on this claim,” the judge said.
