The identity of the mysterious thief who ate eucalyptus in a nursery in Australia for 370 thousand rubles has been revealed. This has been reported UPI.

Humphrey Herington of the East Forest Nursery in Lismore said workers noticed the missing plants months ago and initially suspected runaway goats or local opossums were behind the theft.

“There was no sign of who it might have been: no footprints or anything,” one nursery worker said.

According to him, the mystery was finally solved when the workers who arrived at the scene found the thief at the crime scene. It turns out that all these months a koala ate a field of eucalyptus. The animal had eaten too much that day, was tired, and decided to sleep in the hut. Upon discovery of the koala, it was wrapped in a towel and transferred to another tree.

Later, the World Wildlife Fund (an organization recognized as spam in the Russian Federation), which supports the nursery, published a photo of a koala nicknamed Claude. He also added that they will strengthen the protection of the plantation and install a fence.

Formerly zoologists developed Rapid test for stress level of koalas.
