Princess Diana’s red dress is up for sale at Julien’s auction house. This has been reported daily mail.
The dress was designed for Princess Diana in the 1980s by her favorite British fashion designer, Bruce Oldfield. The ex-wife of the King of Great Britain wore the dress at least three times: twice in 1989 and once at the world premiere of “Hot Shots” in London on 18 November 1991. Currently the maximum bid is $25,000, but representatives of the auction house suggested the dress could sell for between $200,000 and $400,000.
“Bet this historic dress that belonged to Princess Diana. The whole world was fascinated by her and her dresses, especially this custom-made dress by Bruce Oldfield,” writes the party’s description.
The auction house that showcased the dress, Julien’s, specializes in selling items previously owned by movie, music, art and sports stars. Various items related to Princess Diana are currently up for auction, including a never-before-seen letter from Prince Charles that reveals her “respectful attitude” towards her new single life before her divorce.
