Roman Abramovich’s ex-mother-in-law, Elena Zhukova, knew her current lover, Rupert Murdoch, from her work in the lab in the 2000s. It has been reported business insider.
Researcher Lee Slice, who shared an office with Elena Zhukova at UCLA in the 2000s, said she was “not really surprised” to see her with molecular biologist Rupert Murdoch.
“They were in close contact. While working with Rupert and interacting with the scientific community. He was a very good worker. He’s very smart and straightforward,” Slice said.
He also added that Elena Zhukova was called “attractive”, although she hid her secular lifestyle. Colleagues in the lab talked about Zhukova’s “really expensive” holidays and her luxurious home.
“When I met him at UCLA, I think he was pretty wealthy thanks to his previous marriage. The researcher lived in a house in Westwood, near the University of California campus in Los Angeles, this is a very prestigious area,” he recalled.
