The oldest work is from the Villan period (1000-750 BC), other artifacts – to the Etruscan civilization (800-200 BC), Magna Grazia (750-400 BC). .e.) and Imperial Rome (27 BC). – AD 476). Valuable artifacts include pottery, paintings and sculptures, some of which are 3,000 years old. Some mosaics cost tens of millions of euros.

Most of the works were stolen in the 1990s, then sold to American museums and private collectors through several dealers.

A collection was kept at the Menil Collection Museum in Texas, according to the Italian Ministry of Culture. However, a representative of the museum denied this information. According to him, the artifacts were presented to the museum as a gift, but the donor nevertheless decided to return them to Italy.

The Italian Ministry of Culture also reported that 145 artifacts were seized as a result of the bankruptcy proceedings of the antique dealer Robin Simes. He built his collection by purchasing illegally obtained artifacts.
