To eat healthy food without spending a lot of money, it’s best to buy seasonal produce from the grocery store and cook your own snack chips. This was told socialbites.ca by the financial adviser of the delivery service “Priem” Olga Matveeva.

“Summer is a great time to replace the usual trips to the store with shopping at the market. Local seasonal fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy products are sold free of charge for shipping. Seasonal products are not subject to shipping and long-term storage and also contain less preservatives.”

According to a financial advisor, when choosing snacks you should neglect cookies and sweets, not only because of their high sugar content, but also because of the price. Alternatively, Matveeva suggested making vegetable chips from beets, carrots or pumpkin.

“Place on the baking tray, add your favorite spices on it and bake at 180 degrees until golden brown. A fiber-rich snack will invigorate and support the cardiovascular system, and will also delight you at a low cost, ”said the expert.

When compiling the menu of the week, the financial adviser recommended that you choose recipes that match at least some ingredients.

“So you don’t throw away half a head of stale cabbage after a stew or the zucchini left after a vegetable stew,” Matveeva explained.
