A federal judge has given the US Department of Homeland Security until June 13 to decide how the think tank will handle Prince Harry’s request for details of his US visa. It has been reported CNN.
The Heritage Foundation has asked the US government to consider the King of Great Britain’s youngest son’s application for an American visa. The reason for this was Prince Harry’s revelations in Spare’s memoirs: in the book, the youngest son of the King of Great Britain admitted to using drugs, which could be the basis for his visa refusal. A federal judge has given a week to determine how the department will do this.
The Heritage Foundation’s attorneys view the case as part of a larger effort to expose the Department of Homeland Security’s violation of the law.
“We’re just focusing on one specific issue that’s getting media attention: drug use. This case concerns Prince Harry, but it focuses on the episode’s behavior,” said the publication, quoting Heritage Foundation attorney John Bardo.
In his memoir, The Spare, the Duke of Sussex admitted that after the death of his mother, Princess Diana, he “drank a lot” and tried a number of mind-altering drugs, including cocaine and hallucinogenic mushrooms.
