Residents of Japan, accustomed to wearing masks during the coronavirus pandemic, turned to professionals to teach them how to smile again. It has been reported New York Post.
Demand for “smile lessons” increased in the country after the Japanese government lifted its recommendation to wear masks to ward off COVID-19 in March.
“People didn’t smile behind masks and forgot how to do it. They are now at a loss, Keiko Kawano, founder of Smile Education, told reporters.
Lessons for improving the perfect smile aren’t cheap—about $55 for a lesson.
“During COVID, I didn’t use my facial muscles much. And now I am taking a smile training course to prepare for going to work,” shared one of Keiko Kawano’s students.
Kavanaugh called his course the “Hollywood Smile Technique” and teaches people to smile with “round cheeks and crescent-shaped eyes.” The entrepreneur noted that since the pandemic, the demand for his courses has quadrupled.
