French fashion house Chanel presented a new jewelery collection. It has been reported www.
Tweed de Chanel collection is dedicated to tweed fabric, one of the favorite fabrics of Gabrielle Chanel, the founder of the house. Patrice Legereau, the creative director of the fashion house’s jewelry direction, repeated the brand’s signature fabric weaving with elegant gold jewelry with diamonds, rubies and sapphires. The collection is a sequel to the first Tweed de Chanel line that the house launched in 2020.
“This is a theme that has been in Chanel’s DNA from the very beginning. I wanted to develop this theme to give this extraordinary fabric a special place in its High Jewelery heritage,” said Patrice Legero.
According to him, he wanted to “go deep into the material so you can see all the details.”
“I wanted to weave gemstone tweed, create bolder shapes, create a unique story with each piece in the collection,” Legero added.
The highlight of the collection is the Tweed Royal necklace in yellow and white gold encrusted with lots of diamonds and rubies. The necklace features the lion’s head, another signature motif of the house, which can be removed and worn separately as a brooch.
The 63-piece jewelery collection will be shown at the Chanel presentation in London on 7 June.
