The British monarch stepped into designer Jane Porter’s corner at the exhibition, and her attention was drawn to lavender sage adorned with soft purple flowers.
Porter told reporters: “He’s very interested in one of our plants because the rabbits in Highgrove ate it and want to replace it.”
According to him, Charles III impressed him as a very avid gardener. “I’m sure he took care of all the plants. He was very knowledgeable about everything in the garden,” said Jane Porter.
Charles III attended the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show for the first time as a monarch. Queen Camilla, who explored the area separately, joined him.
