Designer Karl Lagerfeld’s cat Choupette, who passed away in 2019, was invited to the Met Gala Costume Institute ball held in New York. It has been reported New York Post.

“He got an invitation,” said Luca Beroullier, the cat’s representative, who owns My Pet Agency, which specializes in animals popular on social networks.

“This event will honor Karl Lagerfeld, and Choupette is certainly central to his legacy,” he added.

This year’s Costume Institute ball, which will take place on May 1, will be dedicated to Lagerfeld’s memory. The exhibition, whose opening coincided with the event, was called “Karl Lagerfeld: Line of Beauty”.

It is assumed that Choupette will be the main star of the red carpet at the prom.

Beloved cat Karl Lagerfeld will be 12 years old this year. Originally, a Burmese kitten was presented to model Baptiste Jabiconi as a birthday present. But she couldn’t get the cat back after Lagerfeld asked her to take care of the pet when she left – the fashion designer fell so much in love with Choupette that she refused to give it away.

Previously reportedthat actor Daniel Brühl will star in a biopic about Karl Lagerfeld.
