In order to switch to proper nutrition, it is necessary to abandon the idea that healthy foods do not taste good. Elena Sviridova, nutritionist at the Grow Food service, told socialbites.ca about this.

“Change the ‘healthy food doesn’t taste good’ attitude.” Thinking always plays an important role in our life. If you think that proper nutrition is expensive, difficult to prepare and tasteless, then you can never switch to it, ”explained Elena Sviridova.

He added that it would be easier to give up on junk food with a few tricks. Therefore, it will be easier to live without fast food if you learn to make hamburgers yourself.

You can reduce salt intake by adding spices and seasonings to food, and sugar should come from natural sources.

“Add spices and seasonings to dishes so as not to abuse the salt. They will give food a bright and rich taste, without harming health. Sugar can be replaced with natural products that contain a lot of sucrose, such as berries or fruits.

The nutritionist added that you should eat “a little but often” as you transition to proper nutrition.

“It is better to eat fruit several times a day than to overeat for dinner or lunch. Dried fruits and vegetables are good snacks. They are rich in vitamins and minerals essential for an active lifestyle and brain function. Take these foods with you and have a snack if you get hungry,” he said.

The expert also reminded that it is necessary to drink plenty of water and consume fresh vegetables and fruits.

As Elena Sviridova noted, the transition to proper nutrition should be gradual.

“Don’t force yourself to eat only the right foods at a time. Gradually switch to a healthy diet – so you get used to new habits much faster, ”said the nutritionist.

Former nutritionist Ivanova judicial Russian cuisine dishes that help fight stress.
