Oscar winner Cate Blanchett attended the Screen Actors Guild Awards last night at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. Photos from the event have been released People.
The 53-year-old Australian actress appeared on the red carpet of the ceremony in a black dress from Giorgio Armani Privé, where she made two public appearances at the Golden Globes in 2014 and the Cannes Film Festival in 2018. It is worth noting that the actress “worked” on the archival outfit: initially the dress was made entirely of lace, and in the new version the top of the bodice, tight skirt and sleeves were decorated with lace.
Cate Blanchett has previously stated her commitment to sustainable clothing and accessories. Last week, the actress attended the BAFTA Awards wearing a recycled necklace designed for her by Louis Vuitton head jeweler Francesca Amphitheatroff.
“Finding, using and reusing sustainable materials is very important to me, and Francesca and I both know how beautiful it is when you immerse yourself in this space. That’s why in one of our conversations, this moment is not just about her talent and amazing artistic vision, but also about the art of the Louis Vuitton masters. We decided to use it to show off, too,” Blanchett shared with reporters.
