Louis Vuitton announces musician Pharrell Williams as creative director of men’s collection

Musician and producer Pharrell Williams has been announced as Louis Vuitton’s new menswear creative director. It has been reported www.

This decision was the first big step of the brand’s new CEO, Pietro Beccari, who took office on February 1, 2023. Pharrell Williams will take office right away – his first collection will be presented at Men’s Fashion Week in Paris in June of this year.

“I am delighted to have Pharrell Williams back home from our collaborations with Louis Vuitton as Creative Director in 2004 and 2008. “His creative vision beyond fashion will definitely take Louis Vuitton to an exciting new page.”

The menswear creative director position has been vacant since November 2021, when former brand designer Virgil Abloh passed away from cancer. In 2020, the fashion designer admitted in an interview that she was deeply influenced by the work of Pharrell Williams in the early 2000s.

The musician can become a designer for Louis Vuitton, reported previously.
