That’s why you can swim here with humpback whales that come to feast on local oily fish, and dive for porcupines. And because of its distance from the orange light of the big cities’ lanterns, the village of Teriberka has turned into a real cinema for watching the Northern Lights.”
Anna Demyana also included Yamal in her list of interesting winter destinations.
“If you come in early winter, you can find a manatee farm. If it’s closer to spring, you can see Reindeer Races and snowmobile stunt competitions on Reindeer Breeders’ Day,” he said.
For relaxation and healing thermal baths, the specialist advises to go to Tyumen.
“It’s worth stopping by the training oil rig, oiling yourself, and trying the local chef’s famous experimental black gold dish – oily fish soup,” he recommended.
According to Demiana, those who like to tame the winds will love Arkhangelsk.
