“Obvious foods that can cause heartburn would include tomatoes and absolutely any form—fresh, canned—as well as tomato sauces,” she said.
According to the doctor, onions, garlic and some citrus fruits, especially grapefruit and oranges, can also be added to this list.
“The burning sensation in the stomach can also be caused by fried food. I recommend that those who regularly suffer from heartburn completely eliminate them from the diet and cook their meals by boiling, steaming or steaming.
Among the obscure foods that can cause heartburn, Davidyan named sweets.
“And especially chocolate, because it contains caffeine. For the same reason, tea, coffee and other caffeinated beverages are not always good for the stomach. Also, the use of carbonated and alcoholic beverages leads to overproduction of gastric juice,” he warned.
