‘Avatar’ Sequel Is Too Powerful For Japanese Theaters

The new blockbuster “Avatar: The Way of Water” (Avatar: The Way of Water) was not only very profitable, but also extremely technological. So much so that it causes technical problems in Japanese movie theaters.

It turned out that the movie uses a 3D video format with a frame rate (about 48 frames per second). However, the equipment often cannot handle such a frequency, which is why many viewers ask for a refund. Many cinemas are forced to do this.

United Cinemas Co., part of the Lawson Inc. group, and Toho Co. declined to comment on the situation, there are also no results of technical expertise. But some theaters just cut the frame rate in half, from 48 to 24.

Note that in Russian cinemas there is no such problem, but in some the film is released under the name “Supermen”. Apparently, local distributors want to avoid copyright infringement in this way. Samuel L
