The father of American pop singer Britney Spears gave her first big interview explaining why she should get custody of her daughter. Jamie Spears spoke to reporters about it daily mail.
Jamie Spears, 70, shared his perspective on custody in an interview and talked about his relationship with his daughter and grandchildren Jayden and Sean. He specifically said that the detention was “necessary” and that only because of him Britney Spears is alive today.
“Not everyone will agree with me. But without this tutelage, where would Britney be now? I don’t know if she’ll live,” she said.
Jamie Spears said that custody not only saved Britney from her “darkest days” but also helped her preserve the children she shared with her ex-husband, the fragile relationship she has with 17-year-old Preston and 16-year-old Jayden. Kevin Federline.
“Guardianship was a great tool for her and also for the protection of the children. I think without that he would never have brought the children back,” he added.
The singer’s father admitted that the years of custody were very difficult for him.
“It was a very difficult time. But I love my daughter with all my heart and soul,” he said.
According to Jamie Spears, her daughter is now “obviously uncomfortable” and fears that she will eventually “fall into a bigger hole than she is.”
“The family is a mess. All we can do is keep praying. That’s all I can say,” he concluded.
