Anil Kanti “Neil” Basu, former head of London police’s counter-terrorism division, told reporters that Meghan Markle regularly received “heinous and very real threats” after marrying Prince Harry and becoming part of the British royal family.
“If you had seen what was written there and knew what I knew, you would have felt constantly in danger,” he said.
Neil Basu noted that he and his team are investigating and were able to bring several people involved in the threats to justice.
“Absolutely,” Basu said when asked by reporters whether these threats against Meghan Markle were genuine.
These revelations of the former police officer did not come as a public surprise, as Prince Harry has repeatedly stated that his wife and children have been threatened on social networks.
