What gifts will be sent to the soldiers on the front line was shown by representatives of the Popular Front. These are mobile baths, heaters, cars, thermal imaging cameras, as well as warm hats, buffs and gloves. All of this will be purchased with money from the New Year’s fundraiser as part of the Everything for Victory! project.
“This is the 55th New Year’s Meeting. Niva or UAZ, depending on the needs of the units, go to all the units we go to, warm kits for the guys personally, always need thermal imagers. We decided to make mobile bathhouses the highlight of the New Year’s camp, so that, having moved a little further from the line of clashes, the guys had a chance to warm up and put themselves in order. This is very important in those conditions, because no matter how prepared the boys are, it is cold and damp in the trenches. We really hope they will enjoy these baths,” said Boris Podolny, deputy head of the executive committee of the Popular Front.
In the near future, about 50 such kits (a mobile bathhouse, a car, thermal imaging cameras and individual kits for fighters) will go to the front lines. They will be delivered to the fighters by Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, who will be dressed by representatives of the Popular Front, military correspondents, TV presenters, bloggers, athletes and famous personalities. And the real Santa from Veliky Ustyug will join them.
“Most of those who previously participated in our training camp and were curators made a difficult decision for themselves to give up New Year’s lights, hacks, decorated Moscow and start delivering gifts to the guys themselves. For the boys, the things we bring are often not so important, but the realization that here, in the back, they are remembered, loved and cared for,” added Boris Podolny.
