Residents of Abkhazia offered to fine Russian tourists for wearing too revealing clothes. The locals told “Lente.ru”.
Residents of Abkhazia, in a conversation with the broadcast, complained that the clothes of tourists from Russia were too revealing and offered to take administrative measures to them. According to them, Russian women on vacation in Abkhazia dress rudely and behave rudely, forgetting that they are in the Caucasus.
“They complain about being harassed but have they taken care of themselves? They walk half-naked, in shorts to the market, to the shops, to the main street where our children walk. I’ve seen it many times. And you make a comment, explain that it is ugly, rude – they are rude. Some kind of punishment should be given to such people, it would be good,” said Omar, a resident of Sukhum.
Another local resident added that women from Russia “behaved rudely”, emphasizing that this applies not only to clothes, but also to behavior.
“They drink from the throat, they stand half-naked in the middle of the street. This is disrespectful not only to yourself but also to our country. In general, I think something should be done about this at the legislative level. They do not respond to comments, there is no culture – so let’s arrest them, maybe that will help,” he said.
