A bathroom in a country house requires investment – both effort and money – so only very brave people decide to build it. And not poor.
According to Maxim Sokolov, a specialist in the online hypermarket VseInstrumenty.ru, in order to equip a simple and affordable bathroom in a wooden house with water supply from a pumping station, it will take several steps – from sewage equipment to the installation of plumbing and a water heater. Then it remains – to decorate the room, and here the advice of the designer will already be needed.
Stage 1. Sewage equipment for the shower and toilet
To install the entire system, it will be necessary to equip the space for this – under or next to the house. In the latter case, there is a high risk that water will flow from the pipes to the tap for a longer time due to the difference in distance and level. But in the first case, you can damage the foundation, so here it is best to consult a specialist.
“The most budget option is a dump. Its equipment will require two concrete well rings, a cover, cement, a sewer pipe and a cover covering the pit. All materials can cost about 10,000 rubles. If you decide to hire professionals to build a septic tank, it can also cost about 10,000 rubles, ”explained Sokolov.
But if groundwater flows shallowly on the site, it is better to choose another sewer option – installing a septic tank. Depending on the city and the manufacturing company, the cost of septic tanks starts from about 30-50 thousand rubles.
Stage 2. Communication setup
For the second stage of work, according to Maxim Sokolov, sewer and water pipes, couplings, siphons and adapters will be needed. The total amount that everything will cost is about 7000 rubles.
“If you want to assemble everything yourself, you may also need a machine for welding plastic pipes, which costs 1000 rubles. But if you do not have experience in communicating, it is better to contact the plumbers. Their work can cost 15,000 rubles – but after mistakes made during installation, you can save yourself from expensive repairs, ”says Sokolov.

Stage 3. Preparation of the room
So that wooden walls and floors do not get moldy, rotten and do not darken from moisture, they must be treated with special impregnations, oil or wax. The purchase of the composition can cost about 500 rubles.
“The surfaces in the wettest parts of the bathroom should be waterproof. The easiest option is to cover the shower area with PVC panels. It can cost about 2,000 rubles, ”Sokolov explained.
Stage 4. Installation of plumbing and water heater
A bathroom in a country house will require the installation of a shower and a water heater – in general, this is tens of thousands of rubles.
“The budget option for the shower area is a faucet with a shower head at a price of 1,500 rubles. and a pallet for about 3500 rubles. However, you can also install a shower fluid that will cause less damage to wooden surfaces. It will cost about 20,000 rubles, ”Sokolov said.
He also gave the approximate cost of a budget toilet, sink and faucet: these are 3,000, 1,500 and 500 rubles.

“You need a kettle for hot water. The cheapest stream will cost 2500 rubles. An electric storage water heater with a volume of 30 – 50 liters from 5,500 rubles.
Sokolov explained that in this process, much more different little things will be needed – these are fasteners, sealing tapes and sealants for seams, rails for attaching PVC panels. For this it is worth investing at least 3,000 rubles.
Thus, the cost of the entire bathroom project 136 thousand rubles.
Stage 5. Designer finishing
Interior designer and interior stylist Elena Karasaeva suggested giving up any “visual noise” and giving preference to minimalism for decorating the bathroom in a country house.
“Let’s start with the walls: give up the tiles with small flowers, this trend has long been a thing of the past! If the budget allows you to put a new one, give preference to large tiles in a color palette consisting mainly of natural tones: beige, gray, black, olive, blue-gray and terracotta. Do not be afraid to experiment, now the trend is a combination of different textures: wood, marble, natural stone, concrete, slate – they are in perfect harmony with each other and look unobtrusively in the interior, which is important for the bathroom, ” Karasaeva advised.
As for plumbing, the designer recommends paying attention to color samples. For example, gray, blue or milky colors.
“As for the decor of cabinets and shelves, everything should be as closed as possible: I recommend pouring all the shampoos, soaps, shower gels into monochrome dispensers and jars of the same style – this will give immediately. inner conciseness, ”Karasaeva explained.
He also noted that it is better to give preference to plain textiles. For example, white, milky and even black towels look great.
