Best known as the creators of Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers started their own production company Upside Down Pictures. Initially, it will work in conjunction with Netflix. At least five projects are already known that will be produced by her. Among them there is a series based on the cult anime “Death Note”. Fans can take a breather – it won’t be linked to the failed 2017 film adaptation.

Future projects also include the following series:
- Stranger Things spin-off. According to the Duffer brothers, “it will be 1000% different from the original series” There will be new characters and plot, and a new creative team will take over production;
- Based on the 1984 novel The Talisman by Stephen King. It is made by Amblin Entertainment, founded by Steven Spielberg, and Paramount Television;
- Theatrical production of Stranger Things;
- A new series from Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews, who created the fantasy series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, which received an 8.4 rating on IMDb.
Upside Down Pictures is directed by Hilary Leavitt, who produced Ozark and Dark Child.
The Duffer brothers noted that: “Strive to create stories that inspired them as children – stories that take place at that beautiful crossroads where the ordinary meets the extraordinary, where great spectacle meets the personal work of the characters, where the heart wins over cynicism”
