More than half of women perceive March 8 as a holiday with a history of standing up for their rights. Dating service “Mamba” told socialbites.ca about this.
Experts learned that women remember the date of the March 8 holiday better. 69% of men surveyed associate this date with “Women’s Day”. Only 17% of men associate March 8 with historical events. At the same time, 38 percent of respondents believe that this holiday is necessary not only for gifts and pleasant words, but also for talking about women’s rights.
One in three people surveyed are surrounded by someone who criticizes March 8 but celebrates it. 70% of respondents said that any holiday is a reason to have fun.
Experts also found that photos of gifts and bouquets on social networks did not bother participants. 45% of women and 48% of men shared that this type of content makes them happy just for the sake of other people. 10% of men admitted they come up with ideas for future gifts this way.
According to experts, nearly 80 percent of men said they support the tradition of giving gifts and flowers on March 8. Only 1% of respondents said these purchases were a waste of money and a marketing tactic.
Additionally, survey participants are not afraid to go on their first appointment on March 8. The majority of men (58%) believe that a gift this holiday will give them an additional chance to make a good impression. 30 percent of the participants share the same opinion.
