Russian hijacked plane and lived in Phuket airport for two weeks 16:48

The Russian returned to Moscow after a 14-day stay at Phuket International Airport. This was reported by Phuket Express.

In early September, an unnamed 38-year-old Russian man missed his flight back to Moscow from Phuket. According to the publication, the man did not have the opportunity to buy a new ticket or book a hotel on the island, as he spent all the money during his vacation. The traveler lived at the airport for two weeks while his mother searched for money to buy a new ticket for her son.

During this time, airport staff and Phuket tourist police dealt with the Russians. When the man fell ill with acute conjunctivitis (eye infection – socialbites.ca note), they helped him find clothes, buy food and even pay for treatment at a local clinic. As a result, the man waited for a transfer from his mother, bought a ticket and returned to Russia. Before leaving, he thanked everyone for their help and concern.

According to Phuket Express, this is not the first time a Russian has been late for his flight from Phuket. Last year the same man lived at the island’s airport for several days. Phuket airport staff told reporters they would be happy to have the man visit the island again but hoped he did not miss his flight for the third time.

Previously reportedIt was claimed that the bikini model on the plane caused a scandal.
