About 900 designers and brand representatives from 79 Russian cities sent applications to participate in the first Moscow Fashion Week. This was reported to socialbites.ca by the press service of Moscow Fashion Week.
The event will be held in Moscow from 20-26 June. It will start the day before the program. The composition of the participants will be determined by the expert council, and after the decision, the list of participants will be published in June.
“Moscow Fashion Week Organizing Committee, St. 874 applications were received from designers and clothing brands from 79 Russian cities, including St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Rostov-on-Don and others. Now the expert council selects the exhibitors who will present their collections in fashion show, showroom and open market format,” said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Natalya Sergunina.
According to Alexey Fursin, head of the Moscow Department for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, two-thirds of applications came from the capital, the rest from other regions of Russia.
Zaryadye Park will be the central location of Fashion Week. Programs will take place on the floating bridge, the Kitai-Gorod wall, and the grand amphitheater.
