Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer has released a teaser trailer for 3,000 Years of Wishing. Directed by George Miller (George Miller), author of the beloved Mad Max: Fury Road.
The image serves as a screen version of the main story from the “Genie in a Nightingale’s Eye Glass Bottle” collection. According to the story, a lonely woman finds a genie in Istanbul who dreams of getting out of the lamp. In exchange for his freedom, he offers her three wishes. It’s going to be a romantic fantasy of epic proportions, Miller says.
With Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton.
The full trailer will be out on May 20. On the same day, the film will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival.
Now Miller is also working on a solo album about Mad Max Furiosa with Anya Taylor-Joy.
