American screenwriter Jeremy Slater, who is currently working on the movie Mortal Kombat 2, answered a question about one of the most loved and anticipated characters in the franchise, Johnny Cage, in a recent interview.
Johnny Cage is one of my favorite characters, and I think there’s some promise in Cole’s words at the end of the first movie: “OK, my next stop is to recruit Johnny.” I think it would be very strange if he wasn’t added to the sequel at all. I love Johnny and I would like to produce his final version if possible. I would also like to translate everything that is funny about this character into a movie.
Given the words of Jeremy Slater, it is obvious that Johnny Cage will be added to Mortal Kombat 2, although it is not yet known how important this character will be in the plot and which actor will play him.
