Giorgio Armani’s autobiography “Per Amore” will be the sequel to the illustrated volume, published in 2015, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the designer brand of the same name. writes about it WWD.
The book includes personal photos of the designer from his early childhood to shoots with famous friends and models. The new edition features an expanded version of Armani’s story about the events in his life.
“I chose a title that is both soft and provocative, which is a wonderful reflection of my personality. I am pragmatic and logical, but all my actions come from the heart. The designer said that this is the reason why the different thoughts collected in this book were written “out of love”.
In the book, Armani describes himself as “a person who does things, not just talks about them”.
The fashion designer now holds the positions of chairman, CEO and creative director of his eponymous company. It built a global brand with sales of €2.35 billion in 2022, up 16.5% from 2021.
