Gastroenterologist talks about how the condition of the liver affects men’s health 16:40

Gastroenterologist Guzel Evstigneeva told how the state of the liver affects men’s health. He gave the corresponding comment to socialbites.ca.

“Liver cells produce a special protein called globulin. Its role is to maintain normal levels of sex hormones, mainly testosterone. Accordingly, if the normal functioning of the liver is disturbed, then the level of this hormone in a man’s body decreases, the entire hormonal background changes, ”explained the expert. .

According to Guzeli Evstigneeva, one out of every three men of reproductive age is faced with testosterone deficiency.

However, according to a gastroenterologist, the most common cause of liver problems lies in fatty hepatosis, a disease in which fat accumulates excessively in the liver.

“Diagnosis of fatty hepatosis can only be made by ultrasound, but worrying is the “lifeline” in the form of bells, fat around the waist, and characteristic folds in the back under the ribs. From this appearance, a man may be suspected of having a testosterone deficiency,” he added.
